The CL 4 is a constant voltage and low impedance two-channel power amplifier, 600w/8ohms The CL 4 is a constant voltage and low impedance two-channel power amplifier, designed for installations in restaurants, nightclubs, retail stores, schools or houses of worship.

Sold under the Contractor Series name, the amplifier provides 2, 4 and 8 ohm options per channel. The CL 4 is ideal for applications where high power, low impedance loads are the primary requirement, and features Crowns SST (System Solutions Topologies) expansion system. The SST expansion system makes it easy to tailor an amplifier to a specific application or to add future technology as it develops. For instance, an optional active crossover with signal routing is available. Two individual channel level controls can be found on the back panel, where there is less likelihood of casual tampering.

The amplifier is protected against shorted, open or mismatched loads, over-loaded power supplies and excessive temperature. Additional protection is provided against chain destruction phenomena, input overload damage and high frequency blowups. It also protects loudspeakers from input/ output DC, large or dangerous DC offsets and turn on/turn off transients. The amplifier delivers accurate, uncolored sound with very low distortion. The CL 4 is backed by a three year, no-fault full warranty.
